The gas barbecue was picked up on the first day and was not returned despite requests. All resort facilities (spa, main reception, resort restaurants, sports facilities) are located in the golf resort a few kilometres away. There was no shuttle service,

The room was spotless and amazing, plus you could see the ocean from the window 🌊.

The construction so close to the hotel is disturbing, as was the pounding, etc. when doing some repairs to a unit that was two doors from us. However, we understand that such work needs attention. We hope that care is taken to avoid over-developing the area so as not to lose the beauty of the seaside and cultural identity of the village of Salema.

The location is TOP. We know the facilities and like them very much.

Our condo was clean, great view and we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom unit.

First-class accommodation in a great location 5 mins from the lovely Salema beach. Nice pool too - if a tad chilly in April!

While the pool bar was very nice, it didn't sell any food, and for the inclusive breakfast we had to drive to the golf resport 10 mins away - which was a bit of a pain. Mind you, they did give us free access to the spa by way of compansation. Again, this may be due to the time of year?

Stayed at The View for a few days to relax and explore the area. The hotel is quiet and peaceful, despite being in the middle of the resort. The swimming pool is fantastic and the location is convenient, with plenty of restaurants and a beautiful beach nearby. The hotel rooms are spacious and well-furnished, offering a high level of comfort. The views from the hotel are stunning and the overall atmosphere is perfect for a restful getaway.

Everything! Amazing view, excellent facilities, good value, easy access to the Salema beach by foot (and to other beautiful beaches by car). Kitchen well equipped.

It's bit of a walk from the town center and the beach, but well worth it for the view!

Excellent accommodation with good quality fittings, comfortable and clean, great views of the sea, three great terraces, good pool. Very friendly and efficient reception and cleaning staff. Some excellent reasonably priced fish restaurants in Salema which is a five minute walk away.

The reception is at the main site - Parque da Floresta - not at The View. This is ok if you find out in advance, which we did thanks to other reviewers, but not if you don'T. We had to rescue a Canadian couple who had no car, arrived by taxi at The View and then found out they had to go 4km to check in. The resort needs to tell people in advance that the check-in is not on site. The key availability time of 16.00 is too late, especially for people arriving on morning flights. Also, there was only a bar, not a restaurant on site. Frankly, these arrangements are not in keeping with the star rating of the resort, and are poor.

The location on the hill gave me a breathtaking view from the balcony. The hotel facilities were top-notch, with a swimming pool that was seldom crowded. The beach was close by, and the town had some fantastic restaurants for great meals out.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Although we advised that we did not have an iron, we never recieved one throughout our stay. Also we arrive Friday evening, had the maid service on the Sunday and never again!
